In their traditional society Aboriginals were self sufficient, living off the land and eating traditional foods. They had none of the dietary related diseases that beset the Anglo Saxon fast food diet of today. This lithograph is an acknowledgement of this fact. It is also a tribute to the economic contribution of the women of the tribes. Since white settlement the Aboriginal races have had their traditional homelands stolen and they have been left without the means of survival. They have become the unwilling, captive dependents of the white races which has had a devastating effect on their health, their society, their belief systems, their culture, their families and on their communities.
