Made to be broken, what is broken can be fixed

For many years I. was trapped in a patriarchal nightmare when my father and later my boyfriend tried to control me. When I became pregnant to him he told me tht he was already married. I ran away from home with him. My parents found out so they kidnapped me and returned me to their house. I left home again to live defacto with my boyfriend. He soon revealed his psychopathic nature. He with-held money, bashed, abused and raped me and when none of this worked, he threatened to kill me. Eventually I managed to escape with my three children. I later suffered a nervous breakdown which took seven years to recover. During this timeI researched, compiled, edited and published three art books and established a career as an exhibiting artist.
