Beast

This poem, written by Caroline Ambrus, traces many decades of her life and her relationship with “the beast” which represents men who inflict cruelty, intended or not, on women.The illustrations are taken from art she has made over the years. This poem does not promise absolution, but it does suggest that women get together, identify the beast and tell the world what is really going on.
